My name is Vuyani Maveva Aubrey Nzunga, better known as Aubrey or Karl Marx, but my family calls me Maveva. I refer to myself as a “Difference Maker” based on the things I dedicated my live on.
I would like to believe that, I too have had my fair share of difficulties and encountered problems like any other person and it would be selfish of me to make my problems as if they were more important. To many people, back at home, my being at University at this point is a blessing.
I come from a family where it is regarded as a miracle if a child reaches Grade 10. I have changed schools more than 5times because my parents had to move around in search of work to provide for us. I started living with my brothers when I was 2-years old, bear in mind that my eldest brother is only 7-years older than me, which means he was 9-years at the time. I believe that, that was the point in my life when I finally learnt that poverty should be motivation enough for one to strive for education.
At the age of 8 I joined the debating team and this is when I started reading a lot of books which taught me how to face life. At age 13 I was introduced to the writings of Karl Marx who has made me who I am today, a Difference Maker.
My greatest challenge in life has always been the fact thatmy peers never understood the manner in which I do things, my thinking and for some reason ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to change the world, thus, I think I spent most of my live trying to I identify all the things which should be changed or improved in society. I guess I finally realized that changing the mindset of a society is not as easy as Rosa Luxemburg and Marx made sound.
My goal in life is to regenerate the morals of young people, thus my motto is; “First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.” I believe that there is still hope for moral regeneration amongst the South African youth.
In a nut shell one can say that Nzunga Aubrey is a young person who has dedicated his live to changing the lives of other young South Africans. A DIFFERENCE MAKER.
As a difference maker, the greatest gift anyone can give me is an opportunity or a platform to make a difference in the lives of young people. I believe that to make a difference one needs to understand exactly what they want to change and why? Now, with the youth, the trick is to understand everything they do, both good and bad, and why? And through communication we can learn and understand how a person thinks.
Montshepetja has given me the opportunity to communicate with other young people out there and understand how they view life. The most amazing thing is that, thanks to Montshepetja, I have learnt that in the midst of all the things young people do (which I don’t agree with most of them), young people are very intelligent and can do miracles, if given the opportunity to.
I believe it is safe to say, Montshepetja is an organization that finally gives young people the opportunity to express their views about life in general, an organization that equips the intellect of young people.

AUBREY NZUNGA, CLEARLY MY WORDS NEEDN’T BE SAID OR EVEN THOUGHT FOR WE ARE FOR ONE GOAL AND WE WANT TO ACHIEVE THE SAME THINGS, BE HERE UNTIL THE END OF TIME.
Firstly; it is good to see that you are clearly with positive self esteem and confidence. To take on the world- that is undertaking the mammoth task of changing the world to a better place, one need to first conquer themselves and to understand their capabilities as well as their weaknesses. I think you have done that or are on the right path towards such goal.
It holds true in my opinion as well that poverty is and should be motivation enough for us to seek relief through education just as you have pointed out Maveva. On changing the mindset of society for the purposes of morale regeneration; Even I cannot really say what is it that it takes to achieve such goals but as you have come to realiaze- it is not that easy. But I belive that collectively we can do it.
Let us use the platform that MoAc has afforded us to try and change the world toghether my bra. Thank you very much for dedicating your life to changing the lives of other young South Africans. We are toghether in this.
YOU GUYS ARE JUST GREAT! MY BELIEF IS THAT FOR ANYTHING TO ARISE AND SUSTAIN WITHIN SOCIETY, IT HAS TO BE INTIATED BY AN INDIVIDUAL, THEN ONLY CAN IT VBE ADOPTED BY SOCIETY ATER IT HAS PROVED TO BE POSITIVELY FUNCTIONAL. YOU, AUBREY, HAS TAKEN INITIATIVE AND WE HAVE FAITHN IN YOU TO SUCH AN EXTENTENT THAT WE ADOPT YOUR CONCEPT AND DREAM OF MORAL REGENERATION. BESIDES, MANKIND AS A WHOLE IS STUDENT IN THE UNIVERSITY OF LIFE, FACULTY OF RISK TAKING RUN BY RISK TAKERS.
It is not risk if there is no reason behind it.It rises, reasons, raises for wherever it leads to unstable plate turns into a plate ready for hungry stomachs.no torture can deter the dedication of a committed soul.It is amazing Aubrey to the fact that at that age you were introduced to such valued writings worldwide and if we look around us we can say it matters not in what language it is said but because the reason is to educate, inspire and grow the catalyst of change then it is worthy of our time.Opportunity in general is a portion that require unity in order to position our future despite poverty opposing the revelance of our dreams.Every choice comes like the cold winter season, for as much as our hands reaches out it is met by cutting breeze.
first of all im a girl living in rural areas, you know that in rural areas we don’t have such motivational speakers,u guys are doing a very good job.when it comes to us girls we intend to compare ourselves with other people and we forget that “MALAPA GA A LEKANE” And we find ourselves invoved in things that i won’t mention.poverty is one of the most highly problem that makes us girls to get involved such traumatic things.Thank you guys for creating such motivation in our societies.
PORTIA I THANK YOU FOR YOUR INPUT, IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION THAT YOU WISH NOT TO MENTION THINGS LIKE INVOLVEMENT IN SEX, ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION AND SO FORTH. YOU ARE RIGHT, GIRLS IN POVERTY, ARE MORE VULNERABLE TO HURT AND DISLAUNCH OF PROPER SELF-REARING.
ON THE CONTRARY, I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION, NOT ALLUDE, THAT WE AS BOYS EXPLOITING OUR PSYCHOLOGICAL POWERS UPON YOU, IS A BAD AND IMMORAL DOING. THAT BRINGS ME TO MY POINT WE AS BOYS/MEN MUST PLAY OUR ROLE IN PROTECTING OUR OWN WOMEN, AFTER ALL, IF WE EXPLOIT OUR OWN COMMODITIES WE ARE THROWING AWAY OUR OWN WEALTH.
GIRLS/WOMEN HAVE MUCH MORE OPPORTUNITIES THAN WE GUYS/MEN. EVERYTHING THE COUNTRY DOES, THE FIRST RECRUITS ARE EITHER WOMEN OR THE YOUTH, THEN AFTER COMES MEN.
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE YOUNG GIRLS, YOU SPECIFICALLY, CREATING EVEN MORE MOTIVATION IN YOUR SOCIETY, WE AS THE BLUE TEAM CAN ONLY OFFER STRATEGIC APPLICATION AND INITIATION OF MOTIVATION, SUCCESSFUL MOTIVATION. PLAY A PART IN MoAc’s DREAM, B WHAT U WANNA B.
Mr nzunga, you are really a winner. I know you as simple, talkative and outspoken person, but I never imagined that you could do such a great effort of giving young people so much priviledge of learning and developing themselves. this academy of yours, I pray that God prosper it and Bless you with your family.
Mr. Ramagaga sir, firstly let me take this opportunity to thank you for your prayers, we need prayers as well for us to achieve our objectives, however, sir, nothing would please my heart more than to have the whole society take part in this quest that Moac has undertook, by that said I say, rather than saying “this academy of yours, I pray that God prosper it…” you should say; “I pray that God prospers this academy of us”, not me and you but all young people who have (and those who will) found it in their hard to make a difference.
Portia I always say, if you are intelligent enough to identify a problem, then I believe with no doubt that you can also identify ways of solving it and what you have done I would like to believe is the first step (from you) to regenerating the morals of young women, Thank you.
Mpond, I read your profile and thought to my self, if Moac has people like this, if our country has young men like this, if I have a relationship with some one like what problem can we not solve? I trust and I believe with all of my heart that with you on our side we are going to do wonders, stay blessed my brother.
Kabelo, thank you for a very motivational comment, you made me take a moment and think for a moment if I knew what I got my self into, I would like to say, I know that this is a very big burden I (we) have put on our sholders, about two years ago, I went and have to present a motivation for matriculants and I remeber I said to them “If you aim at nothing in life you are bound to achieve nothing, so it is better to aim at something.” My aim is to change the would and when I sat ant thoght of how to do this, I told mysef if I can get intellectuals, like your sef, to understand my quest, I have nothing to worry about. Remember, Lennin once said;”it is far more difficult to unearth a dozen interlectuls than it is to unearth a hundred fools” I just hope and pray that you will be with us all the way and all will be fine.
Mbuyazi, I would like to than you for this, you may not have realized it, but you made me believe that there is still hope for my changing the would. One poet once said, “a friend is he who can sing the lyrics of the song of your heart when you have forgotten it,” I know we may not be the best of friends but my friend, you boldly and proudly sang my heart’s song and gave my the strength to sing along, please continue singing with me cause I now realise that if we keep singing it together, we can make enough noise to get everyone to hear it and eventually sing along. Thank you my friend.
And to all fo you and everyone who will view this comment, remember to always MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
hai man!I wish the youth could see things the way you do, we need to motivate the demotivated youth of S.A
Vuyani it is a pleasure and utmost honour to be surrounded by those who want to change the world like you. From my own thoughts and spiritual understanding, God makes it possible for us to meet those who will bring something of value in the path he has set forth. It is our choice to fight the fact that we must follow his only true path or get lost in the wilderness.Through my experience in different leadership positions i have met people who only where there to add the numbers and have the status of being called leaders without actually being hands on with the actual “difference making”, for as the challenges increase they get quitting.Yes it is human nature to feel like giving up but some people just promise the society to bring change but when the actual tasks are presented before them, they start counting the things they are involved in and how much pressure it brings, the end results is they disappoint those who are counting on them.
the first time when i met you i sat and wondered what is it that is different you will bring and how and whether it will materialise, however you proved to me that you are one of those that do things out of love and not out of money, what i saw between your relation with Eric is the fact that, both of you put your differences aside, background aside and used the little resources you had to make and impact in someones life. That is when i started consult the people i work with on various projects and made them aware of the fact that change that is positive will finally prevail.no more will we hear of making a difference but we will experience the benefits of a fighter, survivor son of the soil.In sesotho they say “Bahale batswalwa marweleng” and i had the opportunity to meet one in my life but unfortunately his journey recently came to an end and i made a promised to him before he passed on that i will be there for his daughter as companion.Hopefully one day i will introduce that special extraordinary human being to this academy to share with you her experiences and project she is and has worked on.
I will not stop until all the greatest leaders, friends and mentors joins hands with me, to extend the hand to those who are not priviledged, to make a difference together.
I did not join this academy to appear on the web like some people would who only think about themselves but am here to extend my knowledge, experiences and be a mentor to those who require my services, not long ago did i realise i possesed such a gift when one young girl approached me when i said am no longer gonna be involved in any student projects, let me put it in the present as she uttered: ” Mpondo how can you not continue making a difference if God gave you that gift, are you going to just give up on people like me who needs mentors like you not leaders, the little time i spent working with you had a positive impact on me, i learned new things that i thought i could never experience, please don’t give up on us”, well that touched my heart for i knew i am capable of making a difference to someone else’s life, build their leadership foundation, only then can i regard myself as a leader.
well Aubrey i am so looking forward to learning about the ideologies you possess that you believe will change the face of society in South Africa.
stay blessed and lets exchange knowledge, please don’t be suprised by my long paragraphs i am a writer by nature so when such topics are presented i tend to forget that am writing, its like am verbally saying it.
In the name of leadership
A couple of days MoAc was celebrrating its year of existence, i.e. the site. I believe that we should not be celebrating the existence of the site, but what the site has done.
I hope everyone who was celebrating enjoyed, but let us use this year’s celebration to say in five years time MoAc will be celebrating its anniverssary with not less than a hundred people attending the celebration (all should be the people who have, it does not matter how, benefited from the existence of, not only the site, but of, MoAc.
Wishing more years to come MoAc.
and to all, remember to always Make a Diference.
