I am a young man born 1989 in Kwa-Zulu Natal, and grew up in the North West, but currently studying psychology in the North West University in Vaal Trinagle (Gauteng). I am a last born in a family of five and I have big dreams, thanks to my life experiences.
I started primary school at the age of seven, attending at Vaal Reefs Primary School and I was one of the best learners they ever had during and after my time at the school. I completed my matric in 2002, and went to the Vaal Reefs Technical High School and stayed there for six years due to my failure when I was doing grade nine. There were many factors that lead to my failure, and my life through primary and high school wasn’t at all pleasant.
I lost my father when I was doing my grade five, due to the separation between him and my mother. After my parents separated, we lived in different in many people’s home, you can only imagine what that does to a human being, and we obviously got different receptions, most bad. I went through my primary with handouts from people, but that never brought me down, it only made me stronger and through that I acquired a great and very rare kind of self-esteem. Fat, I would never have managed if it wasn’t for the likes of Mr Rapitsi, Mr Hlakoane, Mrs Nobula and Mrs Funo among many other people, my family being the first in the list.
The very same happened in high school, but it was a little different then because I fell into the hands of the right people. Mrs Sebolai who took nothing else but the oath to shape me to being the man or child they all knew I am meant to be. Other people were Mrs Lechesa, Mrs Wade and many more. It was difficult, I must say because I started having frequent sicknesses with doctors giving me different information at all times. My biggest fear during high school was what would happen after schooling. I knew that my family couldn’t afford to take me to University and my progress was not as to my abilities’ dictations. That question evaporated for good when I got a bursary last year from the Stuart Ntlathi Science Engineering and Technology institute.
When I was in high school my sense of independence grew and I started playing the role which my father had failed playing. I was a bread winner at home and that drove me to sacrificing things like fun, though I could never sacrifice sport, I play nine sporting codes and I excel in all of them. I was sometimes fascinated b y the way I have lived my life through high school. As not at all typical, I was not into alcohol and parties and I always lead a life that each and every parent desires for his/her child. Through all those encounters, I always managed to get the better of life, hence I say life has never been unfair.
My life has always been shaped by two things ,myself,my family and the society as a whole. I am one of the respected and valued youth in Vaal reefs, that is not because I have some form of wealth, but because I have managed to represent my people in a manner that suits and describes them best. that is why my dream is to see myself as a difference makers in our communities, country and ultimately in the world. I believe that I have such qualities as I understand how it is to be subordinate and inferior in the eyes of the world. I believe that our dreams exist within us ad await us to discover ourselves before we can start dreaming.
I am currently doing a course that will allow me to understand human nature and human shelter. I dedicate myself to a dream of alleviating my family from the humble world they live in and of course of being a stepping stone and pacesetter for the alleviation of our societies.
With Montshepetja I intend to be the anchor of what the youth comes across and what they can be in all areas of reality, sports, education and general life. Montshepetja will in this respect be a stepping stone to the alleviation and emancipation of the youth.

Firstly I would like to congratulate you on the bursary that you have been awarded with, I have not doubt that it was awarded to you for the dedication that you have shown and still show to this day to being a better person. There is a certain passage that I once read that emphasizes the importance of keeping composure and never forgetting what is it that you are all about, what are your principles and ambitions when the world around you seems not be on your side and everyone becomes whom they are not or simply just loose their goals and ambitions.
The reason why I am saying the above words is because of your painful encounters, encounters that challenged you both at school and at home. At home that figure tradition and culture dictates must be there to take us by the hand and lead us through our daunting challenges which we face as young men and women was not there to fulfill his rightful God determined duty to his family. But I have to say that I am a subscriber to the school of thinking that believes destiny does not happen by chance, rather we hold that with the aid of other factors that can have an impact on our lives we shape our own tomorrows. Weight to the preceding statement can be found in the fact that you are today fascinated by the way you went through your high school days and the very fact that [I quote]“… I always lead a life that each and every parent desires for his/her child.” Despite the adversities of your childhood and high school days you have managed to keep your head up high and fact, you are a coming along alright with you dreams and goals- this is because of the choices you made and I believe that led to the support you received from the different individuals and institutions that you have mentioned. I also want to thank the people who supported you in the pursuit of your dreams and ambitions; the world is a better place to be for all, both fortunate and unfortunate when everyone cares about one another.
Lastly it is fortune that you have managed to turn your misfortunes into fortunes as you write; [I quote]“I believe that I have such qualities as I understand how it is to be subordinate and inferior in the eyes of the world”. The qualities that you speak of are, inter alia, the qualities that you have shown in being a difference maker in your community and the responsibility that you have shown to your family by choosing to assume the role of leadership in their alleviation from as you say their ‘humble world’. You have assumed the role of leadership in your family at high school which proves that greatness and responsibility have got less to do with age but more to do with realization and gallantry. Gallantry in the sense that as the chairman of Montshepetja has emphasized [ I quote from; Success Through Sacrifice]- “Generals and their plans are supported by the gallantry of ordinary soldiers, who are prepared to become fodder and perish for the course of their nation to advance.” You have sacrificed so much of your youth for responsibility my Bro, and for that and so much more that you aim to achieve, I salute you!
Good luck with emancipating of the youth and the alleviation of your family, it is a worthy course and I am behind you. Sharp!
keep-up the good work bra. SDTP is looking up to you.
KABELO, I MUST SAY THAT YOUR WORDS PROVE YOUR WORTH TOO. THERE ARE TIMES WHEREBY WE AS HUMAN BEINGS, TEND TO FALL APART BECAUSE OF OUR REVEALATIONS, BUT WITH THE COMFORT WE GET FROM THE CONGRAGULATIONS OF PEOPLE LIKE YOU WE KEEP ON GOING.
JOHNY, I THINK THAT SDTP AND I ARE ANTAGONISTS, I LOOK UP TO SDTP AND SDTP LOOKS UP TO ME. ON A SERIOUS NOTE, YOU ARE ONE OF THE PEOPLE WHO DESERVE TO BE COMMUNITY STARS, INITIATING SDTP AND THEN GOING FORTH TO PRODUCING GREAT LEADERS.
WITH WHAT I HAVE MENTIONED ABOUT THE TWO GENTLEMEN, I INTEND TO SHOW THE WORLD THAT “NO MAN IS NO MAN”, MEANING NO ONE IS INFERIOR DESPITE THE ROLE ONE PLAYS IN THE LARGER/BROADER SOCIETY WHICH IS THE WORLD. IT MUST BE CLEAR TO THE YOUTH THAT IF WE DO NOT INITIATE, THOSE BEFORE AND AFTER US WILL SUCCEED AMERICA, WILL WALK THE PATH LEADING NOWHERE. THIS IS OUR WORLD, HENCE I SAY “B WHAT U WANNA B.”
I have so many things to say but don’t know how to put them. Firstly, i would like to say that I don’t have any doubt in my mind that you deserve the accomplishment you have aqcuired. Secondly you are one of those good people that are very rear to find, and in that sense i would like to tell you that you encouge me and i say that with pride. Keep being the best that you can be… which is …YOU.
Eric,

FOR MORE INFORMATION, T6 IS THE ONLY TEENAGE GROUP FROM VAAL REEFS TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL TO GET BURSARIES FOR 50% OF THE GROUP MEMBERS.
HOWEVER, YOU ARE ALSO AN EYE OPENER, YOU HAVE SACRIFICED A LOT FOR ME, FOR NO COMPENSATION OR EVEN REMUNERATION OF ANY SORT. I WISH AND BELIEVE THAT YOU WILL BE THE REPRESENTATIVE OF MoAc AT VAAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (VUT).
MUCH LOVE AND AND THANK YOU MAN, OR SHOULD I SAY DAWG.
WHEN READING MY LAST POST RESPONDING TO MY GOOD FRIEND, BRIAN,I MENTIONED HIM BEING AS BEING A PROSPECT REPRESENTATIVE OF MoAc. FORTUNATELY FOR HIM (UNFORTUNATELY FOR US), HE HAS LEFT TO JOIN THE MILITARY TRAINING UNDER THE NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE (NIA).
HOWEVER, I WISH TO ALLUDE ON THE RFACT THAT I GREW AS I WAS BACK HOME AND I TOOK DRASTIC MEASURES TO GET MY FAMILY IN LINE. TODAY, WHEN I READ THE SUMMARY OF MY USED-TO-BE NOT SO PLEASING LIFE, I SAW HOW MUCH I GREW AND HOW MOST OF WHAT I FELT AND THOUGHT IS AT THIS POINT MEAGRE (MERE) THOUGHTS.
I HOPE TO GROW WITH MoAc AND ALL THOSE WHO STAND FOR IT AND WISH GROWTH FOR IT. MY TIME AS A YOUNG MAN CAME TO AN AND WHEN I REALISED THAT ONE HAS TO GO THROUGH A CERTAIN PHASE OF LIFE IN ORDER FOR ONE TO GROW.
“isolation without a purpose is a failure without direction” well part of growing up is not ignoring the small challenges that brings sadness, pain, sorrow and most sensitive poverty. In my life growing up i learned to live with conditions and i believe this phrase you will see when i introduce myself properly.God created your path to be the most suitable for your character and in such the challenges have to match it.If you isolate what you went through just because it was uneasy situation then i think i would call that a failure because whatever the experience you have in life is there to pave your direction, so one should not align bad experience as pathetic. As many preachers would tell you, the minute a person asks: “why me, why did i have to go through that?” then the answer would be, if its not you who else must it be, because the path that is being paved for you is in such a way that along the way you must find small pathetic things to cross over the bridge that in your naked eye seems impossible. The old adage goes like this :”when the student is ready, the teacher will come out” and not the kind of a teacher typical minds would think but minds that are hungry for more knowledge would know i am talking about experience.when all is ripe, all your experiences will have prepared you for the journey.it matters not how complex the journey is, we are just diguised to be your teachers, rather in spiritual thought nor knowledge we are sub-systems in a human journey that provide energy, take that energy or otherwise perform tasks designed for our life.In this world we are servants of God.I wish i could utter the latter with my indegenious language “IsiZulu” because it would sink in deeper than alien form does.well let me elaborate some segment of my essay like comment in the language i speak more often than i enjoy.”Bahale batswa marweleng” and in my favourite way of saying this in my way,it goes like this “you strike a man, you distract humanking” for the first humankind was a man.To start something from stratch and have the courage to face the storm as a being, you deserve the tag of an antique.Despite many that will forget the good work you have done and you are going to do, keep doing it and as far as i know, a true leader beats the odds.Let me not spoil this for i have not introduced myself properly but can’t wait to learn from the best.I will be rolling with the best.Nothing beats those who are anointed . . . . . you will fill in the missing words!
**EISH I KNOW**MAC**2010**
I WOULDN’T KNOW HOW TO PUT MY WORDS THAT SHOW AN EPERIENCE OF WOW AND AWESOMENESS. I REALLY THINK WHAT YOU HAVE SAID, NOT ONLY DO I THINK AS A MATTER OF FACT, I BELIEVE THAT MY STRUGGLES WERE FOR THE BEST THOUGH I TOOK THEM AS THE WORST.
IN A NUTSHELL, THANKS FOR THE GOOD AND VERY MUCH CONSTRUCTIVE WORDS. NOT ONLY ARE YOU GOING TO BE ROLLING WITH THE BEST, WE, MoAc, WILL BE ROLLING WITH YOU, THE BEST.
MANKIND REMINSCISES OF THE WORST MOMENTS AS MUCH AS THEY REMINISCE OF THE BEST MOMENTS. FOR US TO OVERCOME THAT WE MUST, WHETHER WE LIKE OR NOT, GIVE OURSELVES REASONS TO GROW AND OVERCOME THE WORST.
I agree with you Eric, we must overcome the worst only by knowing why we must pull ourselves out of poverty. The path that is created only comes after one dreams and the planning must be the design our soul would align itself with. Many external factors will work in that process, others will disturb and others will grow you.A human mind is in such a way that when you think you know how it functions, a single moment tends to change its views.Every second with every information, situation we find ourselves absorbing in our system builds our own paradigm but the catch is, it must be a choice on makes to expose that paradigm in order to influence change. That for me is a mind that is “open_minded”.
I WONDER, AT TIMES, IF WE EVER MAKE TIME TO UNDERSTAND HOW TIRING AND STRENGTHENING, AT THE SAME TIME, INSPIRING PERFOMANCE IS. A QUESTION I HAVE FREQUENTLY ASKED MYSELF IS WHETHER I DO HAVE THE ABILITY TO INSPIRE PERFOMANCE WITHIN ME. THE ANSWER TO THAT CAME BEFORE I INTENDED SEEKING FOR IT, BUT I WASN’T AWARE. THE ANSWER TO MY QUESTION LIES IN THE FOLLOWING QUESTION: HAVE YOU FOUND YOURSELF INCOMPETENT WHEN IT COMES TO PERFORMING?
THROUGH ALL THE YEARS I’VE LIVED, I HAVE BEEN A RESOURCE TO MANY, MYSELF INCLUDED. I HAVE ALWAYS DONE THINGS TO MY LEVEL BEST, IF NOT BEYOND MY LEVEL BEST. I HAVE FOUND PEOPLE LOOKING AT ME WITH AWE, SOME ASKING QUESTIONS LIKE; WHAT IS IT THAT YOU CAN’T DO? WHENEVER I TRIED TO ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS, THEY OULD SIGNAL THAT IT’S A HETORICAL QUESTION. IN SHORT, I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PERFORMANCE INSPIRING. HOWEVER, IS THAT THE CASE WITH EVERY OTHER INDIVIDUAL? IF NOT, WHY IS IT SO AND WHO DO WE WORK ON GETTING IT RIGHT?
WE HAVE HEARD OF HOW OUR POP STARS HAVE CONVERTED TO FLOP STARS IN A WINK OF AN EYE. TGHERE ARE MANY CAUSES TO SUCH, SOME SITUATIONAL AND SOME DISPOSITIONAL.
THE SITUATIONAL ONES MAY BE FAMILY AND SOCIETY DISAGREEMENT/DISAPPROVAL, UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES LIKE ACCIDENTS AND SO FORTH. ON THE CONTRARY, WE HAVE THE DISPOSITIONAL CAUSES, WHICH MAYBE OVER-CONFIDENCE, FALSE PORTRAY OF ABILITY OR CHARACTER AND LOSS OF INTEREST.
USUALLY, IT’S SOCIAL DISAPPROVAL THAT LEADS TO SUCH CASES, BE IT NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE. COMMENTS LIKE JACK OF ALL TRADES MASTERS NONE OR MULTI-TALENTED PEOPLE NEVER GET ANYWHERE IN LIFE, THESE ARE CIOMMENTS I GOT FORM VERY CLOSE PEOPLE. IT NEVERTHELESS, BROUGHT ME DOWN, IT MADE ME SEE HOW WORTHY AND WEALTHY I AM.
THAT’S HOW WE GET IT RIGHT, WE THINK POSITIVE OF ALL WE UNDERTAKE AND UNDERGO. IF WE CAN CONVINCE OURSELVES THAT WE ARE THE BEST, NOT LIE TO OURSELVES, BUT HONESTLY CONVINCE OURSELVES AND KNOWING THAT WE ARE RIGHT, WE CAN INPIRE AND FOSTER PERFORMANCE UNTO THOSE AROUND US AND MAYBE FAR FROM US THROUGH THOSE WHO ARE CLOSE TO US. TRUST ME, CONVINCING MYSLEF IS VERY DIFFICULT, I GO THORUGH DECISIONS OVER AND OVER UNTIL I BEAT MYSELF AS AN ODD AND OBSTACLE IN MY OWN WAY. IF YOU ARE INTACT WITH YOURSELF NOTHING WOULD GIVE ME REASON TO NOT INTACT WITH YOU.
THIS ALL GOES BACK TO MY STATEMENT OR RATHER PHILOSOPHY; “our dreams exist within us and await us to discover ourselves before we can start dreaming.”
congrats bro, lyf has its own ups and downs bt that shudnt determine who we r are or where we are going. hope we grad in tym.
I’m so full of things to say, explain, tell or rather comment with but i’m so amazed and cannot put them in words. anyway all I can say to you all people is that keep on the greate job of motivating young people because some of us we face challenges that seem to be the ones that determes our futures which wrong because I believe that future must be determined by ourselves individually and May the good Lord almighty bless you all and make your futueres as bright as the sun…..keep up the good work.
Moshe and Tshile, it’s people like you we are in favour of, bear that in mind, because without you our doings would be nonentities. I am glad you are at peace with us and wish good for us.
“A MANS FUTURE LIES IN TIME, THE PAST DETERMINES THE FUTURE AS THE FUTURE DETERMINES THE PRESENT SO THAT YOU MAY GET RID OF THE NEGATIVE PAST.”
I AM TURNING ONE TODAY, AS A MEMBER OF MONTSHEPETJA ACEADEMY (FAMILY). ;-]
It is true Eric, without people like the ones we touch their hearts, MoAc would not be turning one today, i wish this Academy all the best for the future….God Bless.
keep on motivating man, m highly impressed
Im proud of you ntwana!
leader u r realy an inspiration to the youth out the especialy those who hails from poor social back rounds thefore complement black by being concious and always be a representative of the poor wherever u go good luck
I am one of the learners who attended primary school at vaal reefs primary. And realy mr rapitsi is a realy good leader. The other caring teacher is mrs hlalele. I went to vaal reefs tech and now i am in grade 9. I wish there are many people who are like you. I say that because you were the breadwinner and mostly you did nt give up whn u failed grade 9. I admire u. There is a teacher who is like a mother to me she is mrs nong. He encourages me all the time. And i think one day you should come and visite us at our school. I would like to see u.
Well, as I pass my thanks to you Phumlani, I would’ve sinned if I avoid your plea and request. The only way for you to make Mrs Nong proud is to go all out and conquer all turbulences.
i dnt knw if u wiil remember me we use to play at mangala’s house.my advise is you must not be with god, god must be with u & most importantly if u cnt get 100% in what u are doin dnt be down because some can give 99.99 u know what they say, there’s always a room for success. keep up good work (china)by de way am doing my first year too in PLETTENBERG BAY.CEOU
i’m realy proud of you mhlengi,i dont even know what to say
THIS IS ONE OF THE PHRASES THAT HAVE PUT ME IN A POSITION TO LEAVE PEOPLE UNABLE TO SAY ANYTHING WHEN THEY HEAR OR READ OF ME.
“WHAT DETERMINES YOUR SUCCESS IS HOW YOU EXPECTED IT AND HOW YOU DEFINE IT.”
I EXPECTED MY SUCCESS TO COME IN A WAY THAT I COULD BE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR AND KNOW HOW TO ACCOUNT FOR AS WELL AS TO BE VERY CHALLENGING.
I DEFINED AND STILL DEFINE MY SUCCESS AS A TIME AND STATE WHERE ALL THAT I STAND FOR IS KNOWN AND IS GENERATIVE AMONGST THOSE WHO SURROUND ME, NOT SIDELINING THOSE WHO NEED TO KMOW ME, BUT JUST CAN’T FOR THEY KNOW NOT OF MY EXISTENCE.
mfana fly high lyk an eagle…am sure u remember Mrs Mazengwe’s quot” eagles fly with eagles, not with sparrows”…so ama fly with you,not with sparrows
“ALL OF A SUDDEN I FOUND DEATH FEARSOME AND I COULD NOT BEAR THE THOUGHT OF ME DYING, LATER I FOUND IN ME NO REASON TO FEAR DEATH FOR DEATH IS NOT MY ENEMY, BUT A SIGNIFICANT PART OF ME.” ” DEATH IS CALLING OUT FOR ME, I CAN HEAR IT AND I’M NOT AFRAID. LET IT COME ANYTIME, I WILL BE WAITING AND I WILL ACCEPT IT.”
THE ABOVE QUOTES I HEARD WHEN I WAS WITH TWO “CLIENTS” – NOT A PROFFESIONAL HELPER YET – OF MINE. WHEN THOSE WORDS HIT ME, I NEARLY DROWNED WITH CONTEMPT FOR THE WORDS AND SADNESS FOR THE CLIENTS. MY REASONS FOR THAT STATE BELOW:
WHEN YOU FIND NO REASON TO FEAR DEATH YOU SIMPLY HAVE NO REASON TO LIVE, I FEAR FOER MY LIFE AGAINST DEATH BECAUSE I KNOW THAT MY LIFE IS JUST TOO PRECIOUS T LET GO OF. IF I FEAR NOT FOR MY LIFE, HOW AM I TO PROTECT IT AND EMBRACE UNTIL IT BLOSSOMS?
IF YOU FEAR FOR YOUR LIFE YOU SHOW SIGNS OF SIGNIFICANCE, YOU PORTRAY TO THE WORLD HOW YOU WANT YOUR LIFE TO BE VIEWED AND MORE ON THAT YOU SILENTLY ELUCIDATE ON WHY THE WORLD NEEDS TO VIEW YOUR LIFE IN WHATEVER PERSPECTIVE YOU PREFER.
ALLOW ME TO SAY, HUMAN BEINGS ONLY START LIVING WHEN THEY HAVE SOMETHING TO LIVE FOR, ONLY WHEN THEY HAVE DISCOOVERED THEMSELVES AND HAVE RELINQUISHED THE DREAMS THAT AWAITED THEM TO DISCOVER THEMSELVES SO THEY CAN MATERIALISE AND MANIFEST.
ONE WOULD ASK ME WHAT DEATH I SPEAK OF, I SPEAK OF ANYTHING THAT AIMS AT BREAKING YOU DOWN. BE IT CONOTATIVELY OR DENOTATIVELY, DEATH WILL ALWAYS BEFALL US. WHEN THAT DAY COMES, HOLD GAZE TO THE BEAUTY OF YOUR LIFE AND YOU WILL FIND MOVERE – MOTIVATION – TO FEAR DEATH AND STRIVE FOR ULTIMATE GLORY EMBEDDED IN DREAMS THAT HAVE ALWAYS BOILED INSIDE OF YOU. I TOOK THAT OATH AND STANDING TALL I STILL AM TO THIS DAY. TOMORROW GAZE UP, AN UNPROTRUDING APPROACH TO LIFE SHALL BE WAVING AND STRIVING, FOLLOW ME TO YOUR DESTINATION USE YOURSELF TO ITS GLORY.
I HAVE FOUND, ON SO MANY COUNTS, THAT PEOPLE LOOK MORE AT WHAT THEY NEED, WANT AND DESIRE AND THEY NEVER FOCUS ON WHAT THEY NEED TO DO IN ORDER TO GET WHAT THEY NEED, WANT AND DESIRE.
I HAGVE LIVED MOST OF MY LIFE WITHOUT MAKING MISTAKES THAT WOULD PUSH PEOPLE AWAY FROM ME, BUT MADE PEOPLE LOOK AT ME AND TELL ME HOW I MAKE MISTAKES LOOK RIGHT BY MAKING THE BEST OF MY, THEN, MISTAKES.
THE REASON FOR THAT WAS BECAUSE I MADE IT VERY CLEAR TO MYSELF, AND I ACTED IT OUT AS WELL, THAT IF I NEED, WANT OR DESIRE SOMETHING I MUST DEVISE A STRATEGY TO ACHIEVE OR ACQUIRE IT. WHERE AM I GOING WITH ALL OF THIS, ONE WOULD ASK.
IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FOR YOURSELF, YOU MUST JUST LET GO OF THE NEED, WANT OR DESIRE AND GIVE ATTENTION TO THAT WHICH YOU KNOW HOW TO ENTERTAIN AND SUCCEED IN. WITH THAT BEING DONE, YOU WOULD HAVE INITIATED A STRATEGY TO GET WHAT MATTERS MOST AND WHAT NEED IS MOST IN YOUR LIFE.
i HAVE FOUND MYSELF TO BE VERY INFLUENTIAL TO PEOPLE, NOT BECAUSE I HAVE IT IN ME, BUT BECAUSE I ALLOWED THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN ME TO INCULCATE IT UNTO ME.
BELIEVE IN OTHERS AND YOU WILL SEE REASONS TO BE BELIEVED IN BY OTHERS.
oh yes Eric, Inculcates
Eric your story is encrgeng me as im smilar 2 it want i wat 2 askn u is that were u nt a loughing stock in high coz i go 2 go in vaal reefs technical high school and it one of the fanci schools here did the learners give had time knwng that you are poor and your father left your family and you are the bread winner and the second thng is that how did u manage your study time while your were workng at the some time? Hey that 4 the big motivetion
DUMISANI, I APPRECIATE YOUR WORDS. TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION; OBVIOUSLY I WAS A LAUGHING STOCK, BUT TO VERY FEW PEOPLE, SPECIFICALLY MY PEERS AND ‘FRIENDS’ BUT THAT WAS NOT WHAT MATTERED. SEE I CHOSE TO LOOK FOR COMFORT IN MY OWN STRENGTH, ABILITIES AND THOSE WHO LAUGHING WITH ME, NOT AT ME.
SECONDLY,MANY PEOPLE OBVIOUSLY FELT PITY FOR ME CONSIDERING THE SITUATION I WAS IN, BUT I DID NOT FEEL SO FOR MYSELF. WHAT KILLS PEOPLE THE MOST IS WHAT THEY TAKE IN WHEREAS IN THE CONTRARY WHAT MAKES PEOPLE IS WHAT THEY GIVE OUT. I SURVIVED BEING LOOKED DOWN ON BY DOING GOOD EVERYDAY AND SEEKING TO SEE AND MOTIVATE THE GOOD THAT IS IN OTHERS.
STUDYING WAS NOT A PROBLEM AS I WAS NOT A FAN OF STUDYING, EVEN TODAY I AM NOT. THAT DOES NOT MEAN IT’S A GOOD THING TO NOT STUDY. ANYWAY, I DECIDED TO WORK SMART AND HARD, PRIORITISING AT ALL TIMES, I HAD T O LOOK FOR WHAT WAS MOST IMPORTANT AT THAT TIME AND THAT MADE MY LIFE A LOT EASIER. SITUATIONS WILL TELL YOU WHICH IS IMPORTANT.
DUMISANI ENCOURAGEMENT IS GOOD, BUT LIVING A LIFE THAT MATTERS IS HARD, AND SUCH A LIFE STARTS WITH INSPIRATION. DO NOT LET YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT WEAR OFF, BE INSPIRED AND DRIVEN TO SEE AND DO GOOD.
